My work involves analyzing the performance of Intel desktop microprocessors such as the Pentium 4 and coming up with ways to continually improve performance. In short, my job is to make computers run faster, and I love it. Currently I am focused on HyperThreading™, a feature in Pentium 4 which utilizes the processor resources more efficiently thereby improving performance. My involvement in hyperthreading is a result of my work in the field of Simultaneous Multithreading during my graduate research at the Computer Science Department of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. with Prof. Sarita Adve in the RSIM Group.
